SISYPHUS AND THE ETERNAL BOULDER
SISYPHUS AND THE ETERNAL BOULDER
Item: SR77757
Bronzed Resin Statue, hand finished in each particular detail.
Sisyphus was a greek mythological character, founder and king of the city of Ephyra. Son of Aeolus, he betrayed the father of the gods Zeus regarding his relationship with the nymph Aegina, and later, after his death, he even decided to deceive the god of the underworld Hades. For his boldness, Zeus himself decided to punish him with immortal torture: push a huge boulder to the top of a mountain, and then see it roll back to the base, for all the eternity.
