This famous statue carved by Giambologna (1529-1608), placed inside the Loggia dei Lanzi in Piazza Della Signoria in Florence, Italy represents a young man who lifts over his head a lady, with an old man desperate trapped between his legs (this statue is also known as “the three ages of a man”). The statue is about the ancient roman mythology incident when the men from Rome operates a mass abduction of young ladies from other cities in the near italian regions.
